Creating an Environment

The first step in setting up an environment is clicking the button. In the Environment Setup dialog, click a radio button to select the type of environment you need:

The environment types are:

SaaS Provisioned by Altinity - ClickHouse as a service, hosted and managed by Altinity. When you select this option, you’ll see radio buttons and a dropdown list that let you choose a cloud provider and region for your new environment:

If your SaaS provider is Hetzner, you’ll need to specify a region and a location:

Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC) - Altinity.Cloud provisions Kubernetes clusters in your cloud account, then provision ClickHouse clusters inside those Kubernetes clusters. When you select this option, you’ll see radio buttons that let you choose your cloud provider:

Bring Your Own Kubernetes (BYOK) - Altinity.Cloud runs in your Kubernetes environment. See the Bring Your Own Kubernetes documentation for complete details.

Choose an environment type and give your new environment a name. Depending on the environment type you choose, you may need to specify a cloud provider or region.

Click OK to create the environment.
